Hi BBB,
How should a postinterview letter from a program director stating "favorable impression of your application and your interview," "would complement the program very well" be viewed?
Is this just a standard thank you for interviewing letter?

I've worked at three IM residency programs at three different hospitals. None of the program directors have ever sent out letters after the interview.

Hmm, I have gotten several from several programs. Not all of them. I too am unsure if everyone who interviews there gets the letters of if that means they liked me.
