hi friends,
my exam went good....hope to get good result in another 2 months may be 3 months...god only knows, if i can participate in match with certification...
now coming to the exam...it is very cool...keep urself calm and do as if u r a pracising physician... assure appropriately to the patient...but no false reassurance..SPS and proctors are friendly...
about preparation i used UW cases(usmleworld)..it was very helpful...
discussed with my phone study partner and practised over my life partner  ..thanks to my friends sushma,asmi,bhuvana and prep4usmle for this wonderful site again..
i will write in detail once i get my results..can not disclose the cases as all of u know...if u have any other doubts i will be glad to help u ....

Today I got mail from ECFMG confirming that I passed CS.... ..
Would like to thank all of you guys and girls in the forum who supported me all through this long journey for a year ..(2004)...

hello dude,
congrats to u both on passing step 2 cs ,hey can anyone help me with the telephone case as i heard now they are keeping telephone cases in exam how to go about with them ? and can we leave the physical examination in pt note too ? as we can't examine .
and i am also planning to go with usmle world notes which i have and can u please tell is that one book enough ?and how many days will it take to prepare ? as i am an IMG from india new here so please do help me .

Hey guys.
I took step 2 CS last Tuesday and hope that it went well.
This is my experience. I took step 1 in Mid Feb and had scheduled step 2 CS for mid March. I used usmleworld to prepare for a total of 3 weeks. In the first week I did +/- 30 cases from usmlew. My wife served me as SP. 2nd week, I got sick and didn't do any, and on the 3rd week I did another 15 for a total of +/-45-50 cases. I can say that usmlew is very complete, you don't need anything else...just practice and practice...I bought a timer, scratch paper and simulated the cases like if it was the real exam. I think that if you do the usmlew cases 2-3 times, you'll be very well prepared...believe me it's very complete in terms of cases. I still haven't received my scores, but I hope I passed...I would've liked to practice some more, but I did what I could and treated every SP like if it was a real patient...I hope they sensed that. I got a little bit short in time at the end when writing the pt note, perhaps because I was putting too much detail, but overall I felt fine. You always forget to ask something or to do something, but I think this is expected. I'll let you know when I get my results. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!! BEST WISHES FINDING A JOB!!!
