Dear bbb,
Is it possible to change J1 research to H1b after finishing the postdoc?How frequently people get waiver for J1 research... if they get it then what is the condition...since it is not alike practising in medically underserved area as in case of J1 clinical?
Does research experience (not clinical rather in mol bio cancer related field) help anyway in getting residency?
Joining residency after say 8/9 years of graduation a disadvantage?Does having publication in research field help?
I will highly appreciate any guidance provided by you.

it is possible to change j 1 for a h1...if u begin with reasearch.,..i have a friend that do this..she also knows a lot of romanians doing this...
the way is...u must apply for a waiver ..with no objection letter....after the waiver is accepted u can apply for any visa...
the objection letter procedure is different...it depends on your country,....in romania is quite easy to get it some 4 weeks....after u have ure no objection letter u apply for the waiver.....
this is the only way ...only to get the waiver.....
i want to ask if u heard about some h1 reasearch programs?

hazra...so let me understand //..u knopw some research programs that sponsor h1 visa?
me i want to pass first step after this applying for some interviews..also i want to ask u smth more...tell me is it hard for u to get a cse visa...what type of visa u use for going to cse?
in romania i have never heard people with refusals for this type of voisa....i don t know exactely which is the period..i would need some 3-4 motnhs for going to interviews..
so tell me this 2 things....h1 reaserach programs and...cse visa/period
