Was wondering if we should start a thread of topics and or notes that we have found to be missing in FA.
Monteleukast (pharm- Resp/Asthma)
- binds to the CysLT receptors on mast and eosinophils and blocks the lipoxygenase pathway.
Silicosis (path - Resp)
- Increased risk of TB
Eosinophilia granuloma (path - Resp)
- BirBeck granules
Sarcoidosis (path - Resp)
- no mention of it really. Young african descent females, x-ray bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy, reticular(?) densities. Lab - Hypercalcemia, Hypergammaglobulienmia. S/n - polyarthraliga, Erythema Nodosum, interstitial lung disease, (can't remember much more).
