It was there..............cold december morning of 2004..the 9th day. Wearily I got back to the eternal task of logging onto ECFMG website which has been my daily routine while sipping on my tea for the last 7-8 months!! In fact I almost didnt this morning as i had to rush out...but then the lil angel sitting on my right shoulder said "go on Jigs..today is different..its a new day..try it" while the red devil on teh left shoulder "well..it maybe a new day but it is still the same ol ECFMG!!"
Nevertheless, I eventually submitted to the angel...& logged onto ECFMG fro a quick glance & I promised myself that I am not going to try the OASIS trick today as I didnt want to see the same message greeting me for the last 2 months!
And I almost didnt believe what I saw...

1 down, the next job...IWA ..OASIS Trick...& as my heart went into AF, I logged onto IWA & reapplied for the ...hang on...let me try the step 1 trick just to make sure the system is working & I dont get an erroneus message..(you know what I mean..)
Step 1 : "passed..blah, blah.."
Should I be doubly sure.....?
Step 2 CK :"passed, blah, blah ..."
Now the grand finale.....
Step 2 CS ..........& voila!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Our records indicate that you have already passed Step 2 CS or the ECFMG Clinical Skills Assessment (CSA® ). The USMLE Policy on Reexamination generally ....yak ..yak ..yak...does not allow applicants to retake Step 2 CS ...blah...blah...blah..." Didnt bother to read the rest!  :lol: /
Well the exam wasnt amongst the toughest ones I haev taken..but the implications of not passing were so huge...I just couldnt afford to fail!!
All teh best to everyone in the forum who are still awaiting the CS results...I know how it felt until yesterday...hold your horses..& eventually everything will be fine...
...as for me...from the frying pan into the fire!!! Step 3 ...here I come!

It takes a couple of weeks, as ECFMG folks keep reiterating.However, you can mail the information that you are ECFMG certified now and can negotiate that with the programme director !

Just an update...
CS results declared 8th December
CS resutls in mail 16th December
ECFMG certificate in Mail by Fed Ex 20th December
