did anyone of you take the nbme test? what were your scores ?

As to my knowledge i never heard of NBME test.
I know NBME as a parent organization for USMLE (the other being Federation of State medical Boards).
For me NBME test is either breaking news or broken news.

hi took both the Step1 exams from NBMe...scored 500 in the first and 640 in the second..took the first, 1 month before the exam and the second one 3 days before the exam....it is good experience to take...i felt the standard in very similar to the real one....goodluck...

and drswam how do u think is the level of difficulty of the Nbme test compared to the actual test? is it equal?

I took NBME shelf exams in physio, micro/immunol, pharmacolgy and pathology as part of our course requirements. those exams are very close to the USMLE because the questions come from the same q bank (i.e. for e.g. if there are total of 400 questions written for path, USMLE selects 300 and 200 are given as questions in NBME tests). They are good exams, I am not sure if you can take these tests independently... ashish
