which is the better book.. i wasnt a huge fan of BRS considering its simplicity.. is the Kaplan book better for step 1??

not sure how much detail is required of physio in the usmle. but Im finding that the kaplan book doesn't do the best job of covering everything or explaining some theories. what they do though, is give you some "insights" into what you should gain out of a situation. Ie a patient who is hyperventilating with hypoxemia and a metabolic acidosis(?), give him supplimental oxygen --> his PaO2 goes up some, but his breathing rate is decreased and goes bad. some situation like that.
