I'm intresteed in a residency program in ophthalmology.
And,i wanted to knowIs it a popular speciality?
It requires high scores?US clinical experience?
Where can i get more informations about that?

It is very hard to get for IMGs.
All foreign ophthalmology residents I've ever met, graduated from US medical schools.

Why is so hard to get in?
Because the programs are not intresteed in IMG's or they require high scores and previous US clinical experience?

Because competition is too high even among American graduates.
Ophthalmology is a clean well paid job without night calls.
