Revision continues this week.

Will finish Qbook, FA 4th reading & pain of memorizing..

Will do as much as I can with weak area.. neuroana, ana.. biochem. I'll just be memorizing FA for Biochem.

As the exam gets closer I still feel like I don't know anything but Im hanging in there. I would rather just pass than going through the pain of starting step 1 again. i will be very, very thankful w/ whatever "passing score" I would get from my hard works. Amen!

Thanks for your support & all your advises. i really appreciate it. Hope evrything's alright w/ your step 2 review. i hope to see you there as soon as i'm done w/ my step 1 exam. i only have 3 mos. to prepare for that. Anyway, I'm still working hard ... memorizing like crazy ..

but exercise too so you won't gain unnecessary weight.

Possible 4 Q's about Meckel Diverticulum!

- MC type of congenital gastrointestinal anomaly

-ileal outpocketing loc. in the ileocecal valve

-persistence of vitelline(omphalomesenteric) duct

-presence of gastric tissue, sometimes pancreatic tissue.


Remember Rule of 2's! age of 2, 2%, 2 ectopic tissues, w/in 2 ft. of ileocecal valve!!

Hey Kerochi....haven't been posting for a while now. Hinestly I did not have the courage to post these last few weeks. Took my exam on Aug 18 and got my result this weekend. I passed with 200/ 82. I know it's not a great score but after all the agony I am happy to have made it. I wanted to thank you esp for your help. You were amazing. I wish you the very best for your exam. I just posted my experience on the forum. I can answer any questions that you may have.

Revision still continuing for my weak spots! Gee 2 weeks more to go! I hope & pray for more patience & courage , most esp. for knowledge to keep me going for this test. It's good to know that this step is EASY (??) & doable (!!) as all my forum friends said. Thanks for the inspiring words.

-(+) Auer rods

- t(15;17)

-responsive to all-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA)

-at high risk of DIC

-very impt. to give Allopurinol to pts. before the start of chemotherapy

- now known to be treatable w/ combination therapy of Cytarabine, Doxorubicin + ATRA

-A.E. Doxorubicin- cardiac toxicity
