Has anyone tried something called Rapid Review? I think it is by Mosby. Is it any good? Still working on Qbank for the rest of the afternoon. Will catch up later.

drworm, go to exam experiences &you'll se that most of the successful examinees used that . I seem to have lots of reviewers already some untouched but that one seems to be a vgood source. Some said it's hard some said it helped them so I think it depends on one's preference. Hope you'll get a lotof feedback if not check the exam exp. & how they used it. Good luck

Hey guys how are you all doing? Its not going well with me at all.I started doing good in qbank. But question is always what to study.I keep forgeting things here and there.Whe i am doing biochem ,i get feeling of losing other subjects.Kind of weird. But the pressure of exam isso much ,i couldn't just came out of it.I gave myself time by postponing it ,but i am still stuck.More upon i become slow if i postpone exam or i lose the motivation.I guess i am kinda burnt out.because 4 days back i decided to take enough time for myself without running after deadline.Oh my i slept badly for whole day for 2 days.I was feelig so tired. Its just like for ages i was stuck with the books.I need to really catch up the things fast and finish this thing fast.or i may never do it. Please help me do this.I will like your suggestions.I will like to be in touch with you all ,so it will keep me fighting it hard. Good luck everybody!

Hello friends, Good to be writing after a long time! I finally took the NBME on the 13th and scored 390. I am happy about it, because I really wanted to know if I was on the right track. I have postponed my exam date to July 20th and bar unforeseen circumstances, should be able to take it then. I have finally started doing what I had wanted to do for a long time- do a system based review. Completed renal system in the past two days. Used Step Up first, then revised anatomy, histology, Physiology (thats the major part), Pharmacology (just diuretics) and Pathology. Big point- Association of Von Hippel Lindau with renal carcinoma. Also heard Goljan for GI which I will be starting today. The CV Goljan explained about liver adenoma in athletes and pregnancy was new to me. Kerochi, Tanisha, Drworm- have you decided on exam dates? All the best!

hi LisaM, Have you looked at the equivalent % of your NBME score under exam exp. by lvspro? Try to look & see where you can correlate your score. We still have a month to go~! I have moved my exam too around that date. I should not r/s anymore & should finish all my review. Anyway, let's try to finish all our schedule. i hope to do the NBME soon. As of now I feel like I am not ready yet. We'll see how everything goes. I am finishing up 100Q;s fr Qbank today plus explanations, do genetics tapes again & finish memorizing FA Ana for Christ sake, Im still here in my weakest pt. So help me God.

Have not decided on date yet Tanisha, but hope to take exam in Aug/ Sept. I'm giving myself time because of my last attempt. I have to make sure that I am prepared. Okay todays goals: Revise Anatomy and finish up left off Goljan audio. G'luck evryone...

Hi everyone! Hope u guys had a good weekend. I didn't get any studying done. So today will be extra tough. Okay a quick note....need to finish up neuro anatomy. Really weak on this, as well as get on with the Goljan stuff. Haven't been able to make my target for the last couple of days. Will be back to post later.

Tanisha, try Appleton and Lange if you really want more questions in microbiology. I am not really doing it because I have an old text copy and the question format is likely outdated, but if you are keen on getting questions subjectwise, that may be worth a try. I am doing CNS now. Learning the various neurotansmitters etc....sends my nervous sytem spinning! Weekends always slow me down. Hope to pick up the pace!

hi all, Glad to see you all working hard. tanisha, per forum that i've read one good source of molecular biology would be qbank if you're still doing that. That's a tough subject for me too. drworm, hope you're back to studying now! ya weekends sometimes are distracting.. but hey we have families so we need a little break. LisaM I can see that you're in neuro ana/physio. that's a HY too. GL. As for me.. I am doing lots of q's + explanations from Qbank & same time my FA. I still have not done Goljan Audio but done w/ the HY notes. I still have toread more to improve my score. I am motivated with the advise not to take the exam if your NBME score doesnot fall in the range of 490 & above & qbank of 65-75% range so I am sscared. Got to work harder!!! See ya all later. Have a productive day!

I am doing haematology now. Kerochi..i am doing qbank. But felt like qquestions are not enough as we know the subject is real killer.Needed some more practise.Anyway...... LisaM,actually i want something for Mol Biology not Microbiology.so should i try A&L? Thanks to eveybody.....and all the best for studies!
