Hey kerochi & the Gang;
Like your name;sounds just like teh city where I went to med School :wink: Need Lots of Motivation.I have a baby & am doing a part time job too teaching Med.Term & Billing & Coding 4 days a week.
I have picked up my books but the momentum ain't coming Guys!!!
Which frustrates me & makes me real Mad.Another thing I had earlier planned to sit for Step 1 in April But now want to postpone it!!!Haven't sent the form either coz' wanted to start reading first & once momentum gets going then apply for the exam date.But find my self not moving anywhere..........
Needs loads of advices & words to help me get moving & get some studying done!! <:help:> <:help:> <:help:>

Hi kiddoc,
A baby & a PT job that's tough but YOU CAN DO IT.. Since you have all the materials now GET GOING.. start studying NOW okay.. i hope I could give you more valuable advice but just start studying now & think positive.. To tell you the truth I'm a very optimistic person but at times I need real PUSHING... to keep me more motivated.

hello all
i'm sorry for not posting anything since 2 days....well i was kind of away from the forum.
completed my biochem...still have to deal with genetics and mol bio till tomorrow afternoon.
today i got a mail from the ecfmg regarding my form 183 that they received it.
ok will get back to my studies now and report you all tomorrow after i complete both the subjects.

Answers :
T lymphocytes must differentiate in the THYMUS in order to function
B lymphocytes differentiate from lymphoid precursors in the BONE
MARROW
For the major roles you can click on step 1 download links & go under immunology topic, just a short one to read through. It helps.

hey kerochi
i'm sorry for not writing down.i promise do so next time.its actually a god idea to post some of the questions here.
i have not been studying well.i cud not complete mol bio and genetics as scheduled and i'm afraid that i cant complete my third revision by mar 15....i'm planning to take the usmle cd test on mar 15.and then subscribe q-bank.
i dont feel like studying...i'm wasting my entire time...feeling very frustated,but at the same time i can feel the tension and apprehension i'm going thru regarding the real exam.the very thought of MAY 5 make me feel the gulp across my throat.
any suggestions for a productive studying.....

Honestly I thought kaplan's not enough that's why people are also reading HY books, some say Kaplan, FA & HY shld be okay.. plus HY notes..

the HY notes I downloaded it fr this site(front) under step 1 resources.. Tommy high yield notes, goljan etc mostly from previous notes of successful examinees in the past. It helps a lot..

hi all
i dont really feel motivated now due to my bad scores.i'm scoring really bad around 60%.subsribrd for q-bank on 15....planning to do 100 Q a day.i'm also going thru mol. bio once again....i'm really very poor in this subject.
will be back with more later.

take enuf rest and you can read much better after you are ok.so dont strain yourself by studying now when you are not feeling well.go to a doc if it worsens.

hey guys,
well Im feeling a lot better today! And my motivated feeling is back!! I hate to keep on reading negative posts from other people coz it tends to pull me down but I won't let that happen. I was sick & can't get up for 3 straight days & did not eat solids for 2 days. WOW I weighed myself today & I lost 11 lbs. I have been trying to loose that weight for months & just 3 horrible days of being sick helped me get rid of those excess fats. So you see my friends for bad things that happens there's always a good thing behind it. Just like for those who have failed the first time in the test they worked hard the second time & they made it!
I have so many things to catch up today but I will do it a little bit slow ..
but I'll make sure I will do something productive today.
