That happens to me too.. If I read a lot or I accomplished a lot one day the next day my brain just want to do certain task but not as much as the previous day.. I think anxiety develops bec of the thinking that we have to finish a lot of this overwhelming notes & reviewers.. I think it is common in our group that anxiety is increasing . Because our test day is coming. This is the fact. But anxiety doesn't help us retain anything. Anxiety is one of our biggest enemy. We need to face this challlenge and overcome it. Let us do it together :P :P :P

how is it going with everyone?hope all of you are studying well.yesterday was agood day for me.completed neuroanatomy,started gross anatomy and done with lowerlimb,upperlimb,and some of the abdomen.
one Question to all of you.are you using any other material for histolgy...other than kaplan and HY?

did not post for last few days, i didnt stick to my schedule, :oops: :oops:
i am stuck with cerebellum in neuro, Kiran , please could u tell me did u memorize the whole thing (i mean the cerebellum...part) & how r u doing the gross anatomy, I mean are u memorizing everything in detail , havent done embryology either. But I am really happy with ur hard work keep it up :lol: :lol: Kiran for hist i used only kaplan .

Sorry I haven't been online for ages. been rooting for you though. Haven't done much myself, however. :oops: Was finishing up lots of tasks I'd been neglecting. All done now though, and will start going over Goljan audio and Kaplan's molecular biology this week.
So how are you all? It's good to hear you're working well Kerochi, Kiran, Suvi, Zhou. Yep, it's inevitable that we'll become more anxious, but the team's good for sharing and dissipating it.

hey guys,
how are you all doing?
gosh I've wasted my morning today so Im staying up late to finish up Physio... Im sooo behind.. I am trying to understand all these graphs coz i don't want to watch these looong videos again will just reread my notes & books later..I enjoy physio better than biochem though..
i want to keep up with all of your readings... i get anxie ..still.. but i can overcome it..

hey guys!!
I'm sooo tired... I finished a lot last night or shld I say til this am... Went to bed at 2am.. woke up at 6am so im soo tired..
It's impossible for me to finish physio in a week .. so i'll just complete this 1st before jumping to patho.
itsme im not doing much questions yet.. I think it's impossible for me to just do the questions w/o knowing the principles 1st.. ill be wasting more time more than what im doing now.. I read the HY notes & FA though if I get bored w/ Kaplan lectures... I have not scheduled my test yet.. I was aiming for April but I am not sure... there's soo much to read...
Good going KIRAN!! Keep up the good work... Hurray you're done again w/ Anatomy!

hello team members
did not study anything since mornng due to some kitchenettes.now i shud stick to it.
i'm sorry bcell.....i didnot see your post earlier.i dont think there is any other way to read anatomy,pharmac and micro except pure memorisation.even i was frustated to do it on my first reading.but as you keep on doing it.....it becomes very easy.one thing to remember is doing many revisions.just remind yourself wha all you studied in the morning.....before you sleep.
cerebellum is very important topic.know the lesions well and also the different layers of it.you will definetly find them more easier in your next reading.BTW in which reading are you?

dont stress out too much.have enuf sleep.just try to retain what ever you read .....and enuf sleep is necessary for that.
now i'll hit my books again.....just popped up to see whats going on in the forum.

Tag along w/ us.. from the start we are using mostly Kaplan, Goljan, FA
& HY notes... I don't have a specific schedule.. I go by subject from my least to most favorite subject ... Sometimes I have done enough some days I dillydally... but I don't let a day pass w/o studying at all..

I've basically read everything like 2X except for biochem and physio. Should I be doing more questions or more reading at this point? Haven't done Qbook yet but did 500Q bank and lots of NMS questions. Thanks guys!

Woke up a little early this am to finish up Cardiac cycle & pressure-volume loops w/c are a very high yield topics for step 1. I am still devoting much time w/ physio guys... Help.....
berkelyboy, sorry cn't comment on those study mats. as I have not done those yet. Accrdg to my bro-in law that's one of his stdy mats. that he read almost 5x for step 1 & successfully passed the test bec. of the good explanations from that book(NMS).
chiquita, FA is the everpopular FIRST AID..

Hi guys,
Reading your guys' note and really motivate me. I can tell we have made a progress, a little slow and a little quick somedays. In general we are moving forward. Remember I have been panic after I test NBME based on score. Now I revised my plan and hope will improve quick. While I am reading, I am doing more correlate now. I think I need to go through twice then am feeling my brain start corrlating. Some topics looks familiar to me then expand a little bit. Right now I stick to Kaplan note, Goljan note and tape, Q bank (which I bought from ebay, not studying curve measuring), FA. I wish go over more times and retain more in my brain, memorize them. It gonna be a long process. Try to cut short by hard work.
Keep in working hard!!!

I think my strategy is to put all those scatter knowledge together and need some sparks since I have done 3 times thorough reading by myself.
Face to face study group might be better and quicker for me at this stage.
However , I am still here. You are such a good group of people here.

hello all
sorry for not posting anything for the past few days.i didnot read anything due to some personal reasons which were inevitable.
i did complete anatomy but i cud not do well the questions.anatomy is very tough.....though it seems to be easy.
well today i'm going to start pathology.hearing daily 2 lectures of goljan doing his corresponding notes.oh ya....i shud also do his 100 pgs this time.i didnot go thru them till now.
