Hi, I heard a couple of response .But not a lot. Anyway I still keeping studying everyday. Like some folks mentioned about, USMLE is a very selfish exam. NO pass=no residency=no life. Actually I am lying and I have a little bit life, however it is not what I really want to. Even though I was a pretty good general surgeon before, I am guessing I am still interested in medicine after I have been trying to be a programmer , nusre, surgical assistant , DJ ect. Life tell me everything. Sometime, the cost is high. I waste some time which is very precious for people's life. Keep in studying. I will pass it eventually. I am very confident for that. Right now, I am trying to finish my microbiology reading for First aid today. I am going to read one ananomy book for Underground. Another 100 questions. Be positive. I can do it and you can do it. Hi Kerochi, Glad to hear from you again. I think I am still struggling with this forum. I have to go back to find our message board, even the message I created. Is there easy way we can lock our message board? It takes me a little while to find you. By the way, I have seen your message left in my message board. Sorry for the many side-talk. I don't have FA material. Right now I am using Kaplan study note, first aid and National Series for Independent study. I agree with you. I have the same feeling. I need to study hard. This feeling I have got are from those questions I have been practing. I have been telling myself. Hanging there. More repeat, more learn. Good luck to you!! Keep in touch. Yong

Hi Kerochi, I'm not sitting the exam in 4 months. I'm hoping i can finish my 1st reading by mid next year then probably sit the exam later on the year. I'm too slow and so many books to read I cannot possibly finish it and digest each and every word in 4 months! The Kaplan lecture notes alone has 7 books+FA+10 other supplementary books+QBank+other MCQ's, too short a time for me. However, i'm happy to participate in your group discussions at some stage as soon as i finish my 1st reading. Keep up that motivated spirit!

Howdy all Can I join your group? I've been studying for a few weeks now, but had med school commitments in my country and haven't really hit the Step 1 books as hard as I will be soon. I've got similar resources to you, but plan on taking the exam a couple of months later. Good luck, amigos. We can do it! Moc

Hi Cashmore, Wow you have lots of resources. I think we almost have same sources, in fact i don't have it all in my hands yet. As of now I am still stucked w/ Biochem + FA. its hard to concentrate bec. of the distractions of Xmas I guess. I am trying to read as much as I can Coz Im running out of time. I have to finish this test. Welcome to the team Maverick, & Moctopod! Maverick don't order the Mo Media MLE SECRETS. I heard that it's not worth reading that. Yong, I'll let you know about my progress later. Thanks for asking.

Right now I am working on a little bit residue on Microbiology and a half way of Ananomy. The guy who ( Kerochi )is in another group is also planning to take Step 1 around that time. Sure, we can definitely work together. By the way, congratulate on your step 2. Y.Z.

Hi there, Answer is A. Question is from Kaplan 2004 Q bank. Yes, you are right. The USMLE is a very selfish exam. NO PASSING SCORE =NO RESIDENCY=NO LIFE. You must have read my diary. Hope you will find my mistakes helpful in planning your studies. Best of luck everyone! Love, pinkangel

Hi, Dr. Y Zhong: What do you mean "USMLE is a very selfish exam. NO pass=no residency=no life. ". I am very impressed by your determination. You have tried many different careers, finally you are still interested in medicine. I have similar feeling. I am a programmer and I have background in medicine. Sometimes I am thinking to take USMLE and go back to medicine. But I am afraid it may be a littile bit late. I am planning to take step 1 next year. But not very determined. Can you share some of your experience ? Why do you think "USMLE is a very selfish exam. NO pass=no residency=no life. ". My E-mail address bb503@yahoo.com. Thanks. And good luck to your exam.
