Sounds good. I live in Denver. I have read the most of NMS. There is only Microbiology and Ananomy left. I went through first aid. Anyway here is my reference books.
1. First aid
2. Kaplan q bank I bought from ebay.
3. Kaplan Q book.
4. National Medical Series for Independent Study
5. USMLE step 1 secret ( just ordered today.)
6. Board Simulated series
I just barely went through the NMS books.

Glad to hear from you. Let us do together.

Hi,
I heard a couple of response .But not a lot. Anyway I still keeping studying everyday. Like some folks mentioned about, USMLE is a very selfish exam. NO pass=no residency=no life.
Actually I am lying and I have a little bit life, however it is not what I really want to.
Even though I was a pretty good general surgeon before, I am guessing I am still interested in medicine after I have been trying to be a programmer , nusre, surgical assistant , DJ ect.
Life tell me everything. Sometime, the cost is high. I waste some time which is very precious for people's life.
Keep in studying. I will pass it eventually. I am very confident for that.
Right now, I am trying to finish my microbiology reading for First aid today. I am going to read one ananomy book for Underground. Another 100 questions.
Be positive. I can do it and you can do it.

Thanks a lot for your help.

I want to take USMLE test next year, but i have not prepared yet. and the english is not my native language.

Is there any books you can recommend for me?

  #10

My native language is not English as well.
Look at above books which are listed.

Hope it helps.
Good luck on your future test. By the way, what is your native language if you don't mind?

Hi,
I don't know about the FA series. Can you tell me about them?
Just finished reading the vignetes. It takes me one and half hour to read through 100 pages. I thought it is slow. I will catch up my speed later.

Thanks.

Hi Kerochi,
What is your progress today? Suddenly I realized I have more Microbiology needed to be digested. A little slow day for me.

hoho, seems we are in the same boat. I will try to catch step 1 by May. I went through all subject once and found I can't remember much. As an old IMG, it's so hard to pick it up. But anyway, if you decide to do it, there is no return. I will try to be positive and optimistic.
