I used only Kaplan and studied for only 2 months, in the evenings since I work full time. It can be done!

hi oxy, Yes definitely you can do it in 3 mos. A word of advice read for long hours in a day but take breaks in between. You can do it. Sometimes it's sad and same time proud why we all have to undergo this but this is our choice... exams..exams...exams so we have to bear w/ it. Only God knows what's best for us. Goodluck in your review!

hey, hows the studying going? I will be taking cs soon but after step 2. Alot of people have told me that blueprints for pediatrics is good better than the kaplan notes in terms of high yield. I just finished obs gynae this past week and now am going over statistics which appears to be the same as from step one though im not sure if they test it differently. How many hours of work u getting done in a day.. im going at a record snail speed. Hope yours is better. bye. 8)

Hi guys! I am taking step 2 some time in Feb! So our dates seem closer to each others.....why don't you guys...well i am talking to Oxy  ..(I like your name) show up in our group called Brand new team.....so we can do stuff together since we gonna be around here for a while aahn? We usually post there how we are doing and what we are doing and if you have qs you get answers from others etc........it's better there becuase we know each other ...so we help each other with little more passion.....hope you know what i meant! Anyways i would like go thought this with you all! Keep in touch! I think 3 months should be reasonable if you spend them productively! How long and how many hours of study.....it all depends on a person...how is your background...how is your memory capasity...how is your brain function to figure things out.... how is your study skill...and your attentiveness......at last your self descipline! Good luck to you all!

HelloGuys! We are on the same boat. I cannot study fulltime although I just stay at home but I have 5 children that I am taking care off. I hope I can make it. I will take my exam this Jan or February. I am only studying in AM when my 3 kids are in school and when my twins are sleeping. But I was distracted when they woke up and I have to attend on them. And I am also doing the household chores. Its been a big transition to me coz I have to do all this work by myself. Guys I somewhat frustrated and want to give up already. I have all the materials in my hand the kaplan notes. I hope my letter will not put your spirits down. I want to get strength and enthusiasm from you. Goodluck

hi! i am planning on giving ck and cs in march.....but have been studying for one month and so far have only managed to finish obgyn and two chapters of internal med......it might have to do with the fact that i am studying about an hour a day.....for some reason i cant get back on track....did the same thing for the first step.....only geared up in the end and put in 12 hours a day for 6 weeks.....but i dont want to waste all that time this time.......so i have taken a date for the exams.....but that motivation doesnt seem to be coming back! what to do??!

Do some challenging questions. Maybe you can scare yourself into studying. I did that for Step 1...and it worked great. Good Luck

wolff if u log onto ecfmg.org click on IWA (interactive work application) then go to "print form" or "work on your saved application". i hope u wrote down the application #. otherwise just fill out another application and then send that one. They will automatically use the money u have paid for earlier, its not final until u mail in an application. so forget about that appli. if u neve mailed any in the first place and just fill out another one. hope i helped. Dann. at least u finished a subject, i'm stuck on int. med and also i keep switching on my strategy, some ppl say read kaplan, some say blue prints and some sayto stick with crush the board. i finalized on way and now i'm gonnna stick to it. and as said earlier, do LOTS OF CHALLENGING questions. good luck to u all
