hey I don't believe those failure rates. They are too high! The USMLE is set up so that for the most part, 95% of US grads will pass. I would expect the same results for step II CS. It is possible that more could fail because they say on any given test, all could fail and all could pass, but I doubt they would fail 15% of US grads.

brother this exam is very tricky. good performance in one or two or even even most areas dont guarantee we will pass.there is no set standard for cs.the set standard is u have to do 70 percent performance in every single area that is data gatherin patient notes, interpersonal skills and spoken english.that is what kaplan is discussing in their workshops.or even data gathering can be divided into two hx or physical exam.. passing standard changes. all the statistics which u see in first aid or other books are not reliable. they can decrease the performance rate to 60 percent in individual area but cannot go below that. i myself is scared to death now as many of us are not getting good news. i hope ur statistics will be right . but neither nbme nor ecfmg has released any statistics. we all have to do everything in balance. good luck for all of us.

Hi all, I have CS exam on 10th feb. I took Ck on 22nd dec. After taking 8 days rest, now i have to start CS prep. Can any one of you who have taken CS, tell me is one month enough for CS prep. I am out of touch with medicine for 6 years. Please suggest me, can I prepare for CS with in this short period of time or should I rescheduled my exam date???? Best of luck to all of you for your result! Sar.
