video or live lecture??

I planning to sign up for Kaplan, can you give me suggestion which would be more helpful video lectures or live lectures (not in terms of cost)

I did the Video lectures at the Kaplan centre in London. I believe the tapes are the same as the ones used in USA. Obviously we dont have any live lectures here..but personally... I think the videos are better than live lectures. Admitedly....live lectures allow you to ask questions directly. But believe me the videos are more than self explanatory & you wont need to ask any question! Besides if you do have any burning issues to discuss.. I am sure people in this forum are mor ethan willing & so would your own lecturers / professors as the basic subject of medcine /surgery remains the same irrespective of the country of practice.

Besides...in teh videos, you CAN rewind & keep viewing the material n no of times. Also for step 2 you can view some of teh step 1 ta[es to refresh yuo memory. So if you dont mind staring at the idiot box fro hours ................go for the videos. also you can view tapes in your time... fast forward some boring topics (read lecturers wink

i was thinking the same too, video lectures might be better than the live lectures,.... just wanted a second openion. thanks

HI, I'm plannig to take the video course, but I want to know how long does it take, I'm going to take step 1 & 2 course 9month but i will start it in april and I want to take the 3 exams before december...is it possible???

Cant remember the exact time...but on an average each step is around 250-270 hrs.. so decide...10 hrs a day..fro a month should be good for one time viewing with weekends off...for revision or fun!
