Hello to all, I have not been that active here but have used a lot of this forum for the work that I needed to do, tomorow is my exam, and I write this entry to thank you all for the help here, and ask you for your prayers that I may do well in the exam. I graduated last year from Iran and have been studying for 8 months on and off for the exam, I have tried to cover most of the material but theres too much...but I did manage first aid, goljan, ucv, nms mcq, qbank, platinum series, step up and step up to bedside and some other reviews...basically I almost drowned myself with too much to do...I must leave in a few hours for the city of the exam, and I hope I can keep my calm on it. Anyway, thank you all for the help I have been getting from this forum. I hope that I will pass this exam in a way that is fair to the amount I have invested in it I dont ask for a 99 or fail nor do I think I shall recieve those scores, although seeing all those 99's seems very intimidating, in practice I do think some people are maybe exagerating.as I have seen one person telling me he got a 97 and it being a 79....well see what happens. But I find the fact intresting that this is a exam for 2nd year med students, so it shouldnt be invincible, as most of us have studied medicine for far longer than 2years and we just need to freshen up. Bye to all, and please pray for me.

just in case you are not smiling and relaxed after the exam, let me just say that I walked out of my step I thinking for sure I failed, and my step II thinking, well, I passed but barely. Both times I was way off. It is natural to feel that way after the test, everyone does. I am sure you will do fine and be pleasantly surprised when you get your score.

Hello to all and thank you all for the kind replies, I am back from the exam and it is finally over. It was.....sort of exhasting, but the hype was more than the exam was...for all it was worth. The exam itself...yyes it is tiring, but I had practiced with it for sitting behind a computer for 8 hours in a row and I recommend this as I was not extremely tired after the exam, but I was alot more tired and restless in the afternoon than the morning. Be careful of the time! I ran out on the last block, plus they dont tell you how much time is left on brakes, and what block your on so use the scratch paper for this! The solving problems were LOTS easier than I was expecting, and memorizing all those small details was useless, they test to know what you know, not what is memorized, and most of the questions are solved using basic sense, and dont even need formulas. I had a lot more emryo than I was expecting, but it was all in FA. In total, I got 10 embryo. Anatomy of FA is woefully inadequate and I got some very hard questions, some on brachial plexus, and lots of lower extremity nerve and muscle orgins and ....Neuroanatomy was small, maybe 7 or 8. I was expecting more, and it was all easy except the figures were not clear at all. Maybe 2-3 histo, we had to recognize the slide, some hard some easy. Beh Science was mostly common sense, specially patient doctor stuff, but be careful and know the laws, because they give so many answers you have to know how to rule stuff out quick. Micro, Micro, Micro...what can I say. I got maybe 15-20 q's in a row after lunch on it, lots of most common is hospital, and mening, in ......but no worms! The bacterilogy was not extremely hard, lots of integration with this is illnes, what is the way the ab used for it works? So 2 oer 3 steps. Pharm was easy, axcept 2-3 q's on wierd name drugs. Most of it was lots of charts on adding this drug and the outcome....Pathology and physio was not extremely hard, 70% was dooable, and the rest I kinda geussed. But molecular bio was very very very hard, and I dont think I will be prepared however I study. I didnt want to make and stupid mistakes but we all will, and I mixed up a few syndromes. I had extra time for all the blocks except last, but I was watching the clock carefully. In general, I studied 6 months, not very very hard, but well I managed, and I had a good basis from med school, but I want to say that this exam is not as hard as it sounds....lets hope I pass though! Dont waste too much time thinking about the exam, study hard for it, and then do it! It feels great to be done, and Im leaving to my home country tomorow. So 1 month break! Then 2....just one things guys, try tolearn it and not memorize...they really do get you on the things they want the q's were surprising but enjoyable...they are very smart, and they know a parrot can also memorize words...all the best to all and I will give you a better description in a few, and I hope I get a good score! Bye
