hi, to everyone , i am applying for Internal Medicine, and i applied in late october, may be i was one month late in applying. Does any body knows how the MATCH works? Can any program place me in its ROL even if i was not called for interview. Held application means that the program is waiting for next round of interview if any.

you applied late, that may be your problem. You have to interview at a program for them to rank you. I don't know your scores, if you have USCE, US LoR, visa problems, etc. But it may just be that you applied too late in the season. I have been told however than getting early interview calls is a good thing, but that there is a "second round" that goes out later in the season. So there is still hope!

Dont worry Asmi, try to keep your spirits high...we all have worked hard & in the end hard work always pays..so just hang in there we are all in the same boat :icon_thumb: just a matter of time......same time next year.. probably we all be sitting back & remembering thse times Lets give our grand children a great story to tell sometime in teh future! So strap your seat belts & enjoy the ride...
