havn't started studying for step 2.As always I have long list of excuses.First kids had Fall break(2 and 1/2 weeks),then Ramadan and Eid.I gave myself an ultimatum for Monday(today),yesterday my grandma died in Pakistan(May she get best place in heaven).I know I should be studying. In the last 2 months I haven't even touched the books and it seems like I am back to where I started from a year ago.I know it is up to me to do it but I thought I might get motivated if I talk to my friends at forum.I think passing step 1 unexpectedly has relaxed me too much.Basicallyt deep inside I am a Mom and homemaker first ,so I am Keeping myself very busy withs kids and home ,but I know I shud study and get done with this stupid exam.Good luck to everyone studying for either step. smiling face

Hi hamidi,

Keep motivating and encouraging yourself for studies. You can do the most than any one else for yourself. Make a shcedule and stick to it. Sit daily for some time for studying, no matter what the problems are. Slowly increase the studying time, until studying becomes your part of a daily routine!
Belated Congratulations to you for passing step 1 with kids! Great job!

You can do step 2 too!

Good luck!

Sar.

Thanks sar, I appreciate ur response.I know Only I have to do it myself .The reason for me to write it was to face all of u and get the pressure that my friends now know that
I am not doing the right thing and start studying.May be if this doesn't work I might start writting a diary  Good luck

Hey I did the same thing. I finished my step I end of June and knew that I needed to get my step II done ASAP since I am applying for the match this year. Well, I wanted to study for 4 months. First I didn't study because I was waiting for my step I scores. Then I didn't study because I was celebrating my step I scores. Then I was just being lazy and doing all the things at work that I didn't do because I had been studying for step I. Finally in Sept I started studying for step II. Heck, I waited 2 years to start studying for step I! So I guess delaying step II by 2 months wasn't as bad. Procrastination is an evil thing. You just have to get off your butt and do it my man!
