Hi all

I can't remember where I first heard about acetaminophen and lactic acidosis. Maybe in Step Up? Just had a look on the Net and www.emedicine.com/emerg/topic291.htm lists it. The proposed mechanism is that the acidosis is secondary to poisoning of hepatic lactate uptake and metabolism.

Hope it helps!
