This requires a number of things. You will need to find a field that you are interested in and a professor/lab that you are interested in. In addition, you should do the research at a place where you would like to do your residency. Exams that may be required are the GRE. Having USMLEs is good too as this shows that you are planning to start residency soon. Good luck.

Mr/Mrs/Miss SS...I SERIOUSLY THINK IT IS YOU WHO ARE DESPERATELY IN NEED OF HELP.All you do is try to reply to each and every post.but unfortunately you are never serious enough.People come here to read reasonable comments THAT MAKE SENSE.Yours lack any sincerity.Maybe this forum is too serious for you.If you are looking for fun,try other websites.AND how many more times shall I ask you to keep your brilliant and useless comments about me, to yourself?

LOL! you guys are too funny... last time i checked there are a few different kinds of doctors... doctor of pharm (pharmD?), doctor of philosophy (PhD), doctor or justice (JD?), doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM), doctor of medicine (MD)... so I guess what you're saying, just to get it straight, is that any graduate (being a postdoc) of these fine disciplines can, and should, become a licensed physician in the US by virtue of attending their respective professional schools. sans usmle! why don't you send an email to the NBME and see what they think of that. i think you may be on something :?

To ss, Don't show your ignorance too much. If you don't know the meaning of post doc, at least look it up in the internet before you slag people off. I think i agree with the rest of the post here, you're not a real doctor. I have high regards with fellow colleagues but i think you don't fit the bill. Stop pretending that you're one of us.Find another forum of your own kind. To etr, It's about time you lay a complaint on this username ss and get him banned from this forum. Anyone who agrees please do so as well.
