hi guys, i am new here..so just thought i shud also have my own diary also like others..as for me i am from pakistan..and have given one read for my prep...and wud just be referring to kaplan lec notes for all my subjects..and HY for anatomy(gross and neuro)....i intend to give my exams in feb..though have still not registered for it...as to how much i remmeber from my first read...well don't ask..  .... i intend to start my secon read from tommorrow....though i have already done micro and respiration and kidney from physio
intend to start endo from physio tommorrow...i intend to finish my second read in 7wks times..1 wk per subject roughly..though for some it wud take more than 1 wk....in the first wk i wud do physio and the corresponding chapters from patho...so this is 2 wks work...then third wk for anatomy...fourth for biochem...fifth for pharma..sixth for behav. and lastly again micro...i hope i can make this work...and during these 7 wks i wud also be practicing questions...and intend to do QBank for tht...
so for this wk it is physio and patho...starting from 18/11 till 1/12...
if i inshAllah..continue like this then by 5th of jan..my second read wud be over..and then i will reiew it once again along with FA and continue with my questions...
btw i hate micro and pharma and behav....the rest r not so bad after all....patho being my strongest link...but then again its a very vast subject....
ok now for today 18th nov..i have planned to complete the section endocrinology...i know its a big section and an imp one also...so let's see how much i can make it up...for now i will be off for my prayers...ciao :lol:

oh sure sadaf..its fine with me....besides i could only do adrenal hormones for today.....but i believe tht u shud do sumthing everyday...one day we will achieve the goal..and thanks for the good luck

i was also thinking of adding a bacteria and one drug per day..plus wud be doing 50 questions everyday with sunday being off..

well today i have decided to change my plans a bit..and be a lil bit more realistic...decided to complete physio in 5days max..and in between i think i shud review the biochem pathways...

ok so now for today wud be a fresh start with physio...and hopefully in these 5 days it wud be the final one on physio in between wud memorize those biochem cycles of course...and at the end or by the side wud do FA as well..not a person with notes though..so my FA wud have nuthing written on it...:$

From what I've heard, FA is quite comprehensive, as long as you understand very well the concepts being referred to. So make sure you do, and try and test yourself regularly.

thanks Moc...yes tht is true FA is comprehensive....but u need to do the q to be able to check how much u have understood..and kaplan is a great source...as for today i have managed to complete my physio topics till skeletal muscle as planned and revised glycolysis cycle also..i know i know tht is the easiest one...but still.. ...so today its the end of it..tomm i plan to do cardiac and respiration...and oh i almost forgot..i also did micro tables...the ones at the end of the micro's chapters...i think they r HY..if u know them..then micro wud not be a prob..i completed the first table on skin infections....well let's see how much i can cover tomm...ciao

ok so a new day today...let's see today i am lil busy with work.....but i wud still try to finish cardio and resp. as far as i can..and hopefully even gluconeogensis cycle...u really need to learn those well..and of course those micro tables and a few q from the kaplan's bk...so see ya all..

hi there ss....yeah i did start Qbank earlier..but then i though i shud wait coz i have still not completed my q at the end of the lecture notes..need to complete them first....and yesterday i had a bad day could not complete resp..but did cards...as for i today i plan to complete resp. and GIT and much as kidney as possible and as for the bugs i completed till the respiratory dz but still need to do those biochem cycles...i had initially planned a 5 day schedule for physio but wud try to complete in 4-41/2 days..and the rest of the 1-1/2 day i wud be revising it from FA and doing the q at the end of the lec notes...dunno if i wud be able to start Qbank...then hopefully after physio i wud jump onto HY neuro another imp topic in anatomy.
so ss wht is ur plan..when do u intend to give ur Step 1...and which subject r u revising now

hi sadaf...howz ur prep going...don't leave kaplan at any cost..do review it..as for myself i have just used kaplan and HY for anatomy and FA....i dont have an yr old version of Kaplan so i can't compare..but i don't think it wud matter...there wud be just a lil change if any...

ok so tomm went good...was able to complete resp and GIT and kidney and also acid base.. ....but today lost the whole day.....need to catch up tomm. i wud try to complete endo tomm...this is the most dreaded and the most HY topic so i hope i am able to complete it well....then i guess FA could wait till the next read..

hi there guys...i know today was supposed to be the last day of physio..but i again wasted today...so i am 2 days behind schedule..not good..neways i will cover them up laterz...i think i shud start biochem from tomm and accomodate endo in between

hi there...i have been such a lazy person for the past 2 days..now wud have to cover them up later..as scheduled i will start biochem today..and will complete endo laterz..as a matter of fact endo shud be done after biochem...so i am off for today...plan to complete biochem in 4 days...wud try to complete molecular genetics today..

hi diary...oh these few days have been tough..studies r not upto my mark.....i need to pace up..will finish biochem today..though i am two days behind schedule....so i wud have to accomodate it while doing anatomy...so anatomy which was earlier planned for a wk....need to be shortened to 6 or 51/2 days..ummm

hi kiran...thanks for the support...yes we all have to achieve the mark....the most difficult part of a schedule is to do it.....but inch by inch we wud achieve wht we want..
