Hello everyone, I am an IMG from India. I had scheduled my Step 1 exam for Nov 28 (Nov 30 is the LAST date of my EXTENDED eligibility period). I also scheduled my appointment through the Thomason prometric online test scheduling at http://www.prometric.com I am in a position not to take the exam now. I have decided to take it next year. Hence this is what I did. I CANCELLED my appointment at the prometric website (http://www.prometric.com) When I logged on to http://www.ecfmg.org to reapply for my Step 1 for Feb-Mar-Apr period, it said that I cannot submit an application until 2 weeks AFTER the last date of my eligibility period. I wish to know : 1. How it would reflect in my Step 1 examination result ? Would it reflect as cancelled or failed? 2. All of the information above means that I can start a fresh Step 1 application after Dec. 15. Am I right ? Please correct me if I am wrong. Is there anything else I would have to do in this process of reapplication. Please let me know. I am so tensed about this. I plead for your help. Netdoc.

Hi dont worry, it will not show as failed as u cancelled ur date with prometrric. u said that nov 30 is the last date of ur ext eligibilty period that means u have already extended ur eligibility period once and now u have reapply paying ur entire fees? if this is the case then u can apply only after the end of ur eligibility period. if it was ext ur eligibility period then u can do it any time, till 2 wks after the end of ur eligibilty period. Try contacting ecfmg and see if they can clear ur doubts.
