ive got a question...confuses me all the time.... how is vasodilation/vasoconstriction , blood pressure , and TPR related just need to get the concept..... when tpr increases blood pressure increases????vasoconstriction occurs???? please help.... :oops: :cry: :?:

TRP and Vasoconstriction are directly related, the more vasoconstriction going on, the higher TRP. Now BP is a bit more complex than that. It is dependent, as you know, upon Connractility of the heart, HR, aortic complience and TRP. So depending on a particular situation the actual BP will vary, however, if everything else stays the same, and only TRP increases, BP will go up. It is far better to discuss or to think about different phisiological/pathological situations where the BP may change, and then attempt to explain in detail each particular change. I am sure you will find a buch of discussion strings on that matter if you look back several pages. Hope this helps.
