What is the MOA of nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors and name 5??

they interfere with DNA synthesis by reverse transcriptase (they cause chain termination due to slightly different structure than that of real nucleosides)

1.zidovudine
2.dideoxycytidine
3.dideoxyinosine
4.lamivudine
5.stavudine

and 2 extra ones:
6.abacavir and
7.tenofovir

I think we should add some major Side effects of some. I'll start, zidovudine causes megaloblastin anemia, and ddI can cause pancreatitis.

Great Alina!!- For this particular category the nomenclature is different ususally because of 3 letters.

The 1st Zidovudine-AZT
as said didanosine-DDI
Zalcitabine------DDC
Stavudine------ D4T
Lamivudine-----3TC

I dont have the last 2/
also peripheral neuropathy is a common significant side effect ..
