tadalafil does not have the same target as sildenefil (only similar mechanism )

tadalafil inihibts phosphodiesterase that degrades cAMP --> so it leads to increased cAMP inside the cell.

it has also longer duration of action than sildanefil (i think 36 hrs)

any other opinions ? grin

3 years ago when I was in the 3th year I encountered a 45 year old woman who was taking Viagra. When doctor said what drug she was taking, we couldn't belive that. Viagra(sildenafil) was administred for pulmonary hypertension. We didn't ask if our patient was in a trial or sildenafil was routinely prescribed in patients with pulmonary hypertension.

I haven't heard about this new drug from the class of sildenafil.
