I have taken step 1,2 and awaiting results for CSA which I think I have done well.Can someone kindly tell me if I have to give an english exam like TOEFL to get ECFMG certification.

Since i think feb of 2004 TOEFL is not a requirement any more to get an ECFMG certificate. You can check it yourself if you go to the ECFMG web page. RoC

I heard a rumor that toefl may be requirement in our other procedures.towards residency..heard in kaplan center seattle . Anyways iam ready wtih 237 on toefl ,who knows what new changes they r going to make. If you want to take toefl you can .

if u have taken csa, then english is still a requirement but if u have taken step2 cs, then it is not a requirement anymore.i took toefl in dec. i got 273, and applied for csa, they accepted my english but said they could not accomodate me for csa because there was no more seats available so i took cs in oct, for that toefl is not a requirement but they have said that my toefl is valid indefinitely in their record and wont expire even after 2 yrs when it is subjected to expire..
