why there is high-pitched inspiratory noises in acute asthma attack? i thought asthma should be expiratory

In asthma you can get both inspiratory and expiratory noise.But what you say sing is true too.....because recall that the airway collapses during normal expiration usually narrowing the airway further.......so its more of expiratory but nevertheless since airway is narrow in asthma you can get both.
