i am starting to study for step 2.......i was just wondering why first aid for step 2 isnt that popular.....and should i just stick to crush step 2...i was trying to compare the two and fa seems to have more info....but i am totally confused.....for everything else i am using kaplan and just cmdt for some imp topics.....are there any other books i should get?

hey dann. i wanted to ask the same question. also becoz the last edition of`crush the step 2 came out in 2002. i wonder if they are coming up with a new edition soon. and i agree with you...first aid does seem to have more information. dont know why it is not as popular as crush.... hope we get our answer.

dann wouldn't hurt if u already have the FA u can study that too but not solely for step 2. know nothing abt. crush coz i did not read it.

I read first aid and I found it to be useful and easy to read. I would definitely not depend on it too much. It's a good book for the night before exam.

A friend of mine who is US educated and trained and also used to be in academic medicine gave me great advice...Read only a few books and know them well. No need to have 2 different books for same subject, because they have the same information.

I didn't like FA as it is way to basic. You should already know what info it has. As collins says, stick to the same books you have been using. I didn't use Crush, so I can't comment on that.
