Nephron plasma flow increases and GFR decreases.

FF increase.

  #6

FF = GFR/RPF

If Renal plasma flow increases with constriction of the efferent arteriole, and GFR decreases, then FF would decrease.

sorry FF will decrease.i didnot read statement correctly.plasma flow increases and GFR decreases

  #8

This is "nuthin" to play around with!
Does everyone agree that the GFR and FF go in the same direction in this case and in the opposite which is (constriction of the efferent arteriole)

I am sorry adeelmd and mjl1717, dont understand what you guys are saying, isn't that what i wrote also, that FF would decrease with a decrease GFR????? Oh and adeelmd, I am a "her" smiling face

yea.. it's just that rpf decreases and gfr increases when you CONSTRICT the efferent arteriole...hence you would have an increase in ff if you constricted it. and decrease in ff if you DIALATED the efferent.
