Hi, I am a FMG. I have 82/79 in Step1/step 2 respectively. I finished Urology in my country the last year. I have fifteen publications but all of those in my country. I done an observership in USA during my last year as Senior resident and I have strong letters from the chairman and others attending but those letters are from urologists..I am applying for a non designated preliminary position in surgery.... Do you think I have any chance? Could you give some advice??? thanks

I have heard that a 90 minimum score is required for most surgery programs, but I guess that with such a good LOR and strong publications and some additional contacts you may still have a chance. I wish you good luck!
