are age appropriate tests still ordered even if patient is not presenting with any complaints of that particular system...eg. >50y/o PSA done?

PSA is done if the pt has some Sx. Some Dr do the PSA but it is not recommended anymore unless the pt has some Sx or risk factors. Now, I think you should be screening for other malignancies eg: FOBT every year after 50 + sigmoidoscopy q3-5y; colonoscopy q7-10 y; mamography q year after 40 and should stop after 75; Pap smear q1 after 18 or first sexual encounter, every 3 years after 3 consecutives (-) pap. Feel free to add some other... I am taking my exam in 2 days (Nov. 11 and 12).
