Good, also along with denial and splitting its subclassified as a [Narcisstic defense mech] which are primitive, flimsy having to do with a weak ego.
An example I like is:
A girls daddy goes off to war, she has a doll and says to the father that Suzy will miss you (refering to the doll) whereas in reality the little girl will miss the father.
