A 69 yo man who smokes and drinks and has rotten teeth has a hard, fixed, 4cm mass in his neck.The mass is just medial and in front of the sternomastoid muscle, at the level of the upper notch of the thyroid cartilage.It has been there for atleast 6 months, and it is growing.Wat is the best next diagnostic step in this patient? 1.CT scan 2.Duplex scan 3. XR neck..AP AND LAT 4.Bronchoscopy 5.Triple endoscopy 6.Esophagoscopy

YES, CORRECT, ap mle!!!!!!!!!! it's triple endoscopy or PANENDOSCOPY, looking for primary in the tract consisting of pharynx, larynx , trachea.......coz that's the source of squamous cell ca. in the neck..........and so, u need to look for and r/o.............
