I took it in Atlanta. I really do not know what to say. I didn't feel the way I felt after my steps 1&2. I am frustated because I wanted to do more but time sword was hanging over my head. The biggest issue to overcome was anxiety and nervousness. After the first lunch break my performance had significantly improved. My last patients were my best encounters. I do not know what they are looking for. I hope whatever it is, I would have covered it in my encounters. It was not hard, probs were everyday cases but anxiety was the biggest factor for me. When I looked at her face in my first encounter, I forgot everything for 2 seconds..LOL...I missed washing hands and putting drape only on one patient, but I hope it won't cost me the exam. I did good closings though. SP's were nice and cooperative. During my lunch I couldn't eat anything because I was extreemly nauseated so I just had a Lipton Tea (thanks to ECFMG who had them available over there). Food was good but who think abt food at that time? I didn't do very good on 2 patients. I missed out few important things. I think my 7-8 encounters were reasonably good. Anyway, I have mixed feelings about this exam. Kind of feeling low. I think about the investment made on this exam (exam fee + airtickets + hotel etc) and the ongoing investments on Residecny application and interviews, it just makes me nervous because I cannot afford to fail. I hope administration realizes that this exam is very new and keep the passing criteria reasonably low. Admin staff was very nice and friendly so do not even worry about their role. I wish you guys a very good luck and hope you won't feel like me after your exam is over.

this is exactly how i felt about the exam, except for the SPs ,they didn't give me a reassuring face ...i felt very bad after looking into their faces....but the the very bad thing was the time factor ,i needed at least five minutes more in the encounter and 2 in the note writing .. here is a deadly mistake i made ,for few seconds (it felt like an hour) i forgot how to say tinnitus in a lay person language...i staird in the SPs face which had a "what ,are you stupid?" expression after failing to get the word out...BUZZING sound...i remembered it just after i got out of the patients room.......  i hope that they well be in our side ,me too can't afford to fail this exam. i hope you the best of luck, and for all of those applying .

Yeah! The more I talk to people I know, more I lean that most of us did not have the greatest experience. I read it some where that they are equating results between AMG's and FMG's so set a common level for passing. Also was told a rumor of result being released is about 58%. I am getting frustated day by day.

hey, i also did the biggest blunder in my exam. i couldnot believe i could do that in my exam. i forgot to wash my hands in 2 patients. among them i remembered one while i was checking his axillary lymph node. i was done on one side. i do not know what happened to me i aplogized him not washing my hands before physical exam and asked him that i wanted to wash my hand now. he looked at me as if i was crazy. definitely annoyed . he must have thought that i got the sweat in my hand and now i wanted to wash. i realized but it was too late. i washed my hand and tried to compensate that i started checking the lymph nodes of the other axilla.hopefully that wont cost my exam. i am scared of communication and interpersonal area. hopefully we all pass.
