aldosterone doesn't go up in 17 hydroxylase def. cuz 11 deoxycortisol is increased due to increased acth, which is why you would get htn, and that would lead to a decrease in renin secretion, then aldosterone would decrease and you'd get htn with hyperkalemia???? doesn't that make sense????

so aldo would not go up in 17 hydroxylase, but you would have htn with hypokalemia....

yes aldo will not be high, but not due to decreased synthesis rather due to feedback inhibition
