HI!
I am Diba Farah, right now residing in california ,la habra .And planning to sit for USMLE , looking for study partner . If there is any one who can give me right advice . shold i enroll in kaplan centre ... is it a good idea?and which part should i give first USMLE step 1 or step 2. Please waiting for any one's reply.
Any advice will be highly appreciated.

Guys i am new in this forum. Just wrting to you..
i just passed my medical graduation in last year and then did 1 year residency ..
and came to california in oct..
i am married .. and doing a part time job ..
and planning to study seriously for step 1..
is any one is there!!!
I need your help.. advice....support...
i dodnt know where from i start ? or from which book should i start 1st ??
please.. help me!! i need your help...

hi Diba
you can get lot of information from this forum.just go thru the experiences of different persons and the you will get an idea as what to study. :lol:
my personal advice is you better go for the kaplan either the centre prep or web prep.i've taken webprep and found it to be good. :lol:
then get first aid ...you get it from amazon.com or a second hand book from ebay. :!: :!:
then you should get goljan for pathology as kaplan pathology is not good.you can download the audio from coolgoose.com or you can get them also from e-bay at a very fair price. :lol: :!:
prepare a schedule and fix to it...DONT CHANGE THE SCHEDULE.JUST STICK TO IT. 8) :idea:
you can also attend the chats that are taking place at 12:30pm(eastern) :lol:
or if you feel that you cannot study alone...find a studypartner...there should be many people from california.

kirandi... i m just telling you about my plan ..
just give me your advice..
i am going to study myself for next 5 months.. after that i'll go for kaplan centre prep or web prep.. for 3 months then i 'll again read myself for 3 months ... and after that i'll take step 1 over all 1 year
what do you think... !! is this okey ? you know i came from 3rd world country .. just this is the 1st time that i am preparing myself for this exam..
what do you think 1 year is enough !!
