Kaplan notes suggest that ANP is involved in there, remember the one that gets rid of extra water and sodium. It increases glomerular filtration by dilating of afferent arteriole and constricting of efferent arteriole and inhibits reabsorption of sodium in collecting ducts. Why it has no effect on edema in secondary hyperaldosteronism, I am not able to explain. I just memorized that...

I read the similar explanation in Ganong's physiology.But nothing more.
