taking step2 soon.,finding it hard to concentrate.please adise how to chanellize myself and what all to study

read brand step 2 forum 7 u'll find the books that everyone's reading. GL

To concentrate, think of WHY? you want to pass your exam. I'm sure with that thought u'll jive inot reading... GL

o.k..i'll try n list the books..i read the kaplan notes for all the subjects i used CMDT and washington manual to clear my doubts...
i read BRS obs n gynae n BRS psychiatry..
n i read the clinical vignettes..
but the one thing that helped me alot was USMLE WORLD the ques were great n if u read all the explanations u can cover a lot of topics..
good luck for ur exam n keep me informed..

as far as your concentration....take a break..go see a movie..just relax for a day..then get back to the books..I prepared for step2 for 2-3mos. only 3-4hrs a day because I work full time. I took it 23days ago and I'm awaiting my score..I'm confident that I scored well, we'll see.. usmle world, I only heard about it in this forum. I used Blueprints (Medicine, Ob/Gyne, Pediatrics) Cracking the Boards, NMS questions, 1st Aid, and Pretest clinical vignettes..I had already read Kaplan/Saddock Synopsis of Psychiatry for step 1, so I just skimmed through that. If you have time, read Harrison's small version. The exam really has a lot of IMED and Pediatrics questions.
