I took my step one 1 and 1/2 weeks back and when I go to iwa application it lets me apply for a new application for step one. Does that mean I have failed step one? please let me know. I am really worried.

Its too soon to try the oasis trick, you need to wait until it tells you that your score has been reported which takes about 3 or 4 weeks, ONLY THEN can you try the oasis trick. If you then get the screen saying you cannot retake a test you have passed then you passed.
No need to worry this soon after the exam :-)
