in case of pulm embolism in in ccs, which one is prefered, spiral ct or vq scan?

V/Q scan is the definitely diagnostic modality for PE. Spiral CT has high specificity but low sensitivity.

If cxr in normal------->ct scan cxr abnormal-------->v/q scan { mayo' internal board review}

I think if the CXR is negative you would do a V/Q because , if the cxr is abnormal you would likely get a false positive. Just my reasoning
