when are you going to take the test. I plan to take the test in summer 2004. Are you still working? I am working full time. Are you taking any classes? What books do you study? I am waiting for the kaplan 2003 step 1 notes to arrive in a few days, then will start preparation...

I am planing to take a test in december 2003,i am refering only to the kaplan notes and i am using the NMS and the APPLETON AND LANGE for the review questions.I already toke the step 1 last year but i had a bad score and i wasn't really ready for it.I am afraid that i am using only the kaplan references for my lectures,if you know any thing that can advise me about that,please let me know.keep touch.

I heard Dr. Goljan's notes for step 1 is also very good. So you are not going to take any commercial classes before the exam? Since I graduated from Chinese med school, where I learned everything in Chinese, I need more effort for the test. I live in Manhattan. How about you?

Not really,i want to ask you about the books from kaplan you waiting for,is it the home study programm or is it somthing else????do you about the change the ecfmg did about the step 2 and the csa???

Oh it's not home study kit. They are the kaplan 2003 lecture notes, with 7 books of different subjects and 1 question book. I am still expecting them. I was about to register online recently but noticed from now on they require med school transcript also. So I am trying to get a copy from my med school now. About change in step 2 and CSA, to my understanding it's change of administration from ecfmg to the national organization. Since from next year all US med students will need to take clinical skill test also. Therefore this exam will no longer be something only foreign MD to take. Therefore it will now be under the national liscence organization.

Hi there: Im a sixth medical student here in lima, Peru and i decided to take the exam on October 2004. Ive just begun getting in touch with all the information about Step 1 and i would like to know where i can get the kaplan books. I wll go to nyc on September and maybe i could get the books there. So if someon in nyc could help me find those book and maybe give me some advices abotu the test i would really aprecciate it.
