Hi! I am an FMG and I have finished step 1 and 2 CK+CS.
I am confused regarding step 3.
I thought that this test was to be taken directly after the internship (year 1 in whatever specialty you are training) and then you would receive the permanent ECFMG diploma.
Are you as an FMG obliged to take this test before applying for a job?
Do they force FMGs to take a transitional year to finish the step 3 first?
How important are step 3 scores and in what context are they used?
