Dont know if this has been asked before, but does anyone know exactly how does homocysteine cause osteoporosis??

High homocysteine levels cause osteoporosis by the formation of defective bone (protein) matrix. It can react with proteins and other biologically important compounds that contain sulfur groups, causing them to stop functioning
