i am having tons of trouble trying to remember every fact n bit of info in the kaplan internal med book.in fact after i've done a topic i cant seem to recall all the info.does everyone have this problem? or do i need to check out some other books like blue prints maybe!!!

i feel the same way whenever i open the kaplan books.
i think i am going to focus on crush step2 and high yield IM reviewer.
i didn't like medicine BP while i was in med school, but i might give it a try.
otherwise, i might start reading CMDT for the most common topics, DM, HTN, gout, etc.
and of course, questions questions questions!

Hi !
I gave my Step2ck one month back. Just stick to the basic. Kaplan medicine is a very good book. Keep revising it and it`ll help you alot. See the prolem starts when we open up many book for one subject, it confuses the facts, so my advice, do the ground work by kap medicine and refer to CMDT for doubts. Develop a plan and stick to it.

Hi Lucky.
For neurology refer, CMDT. Just the imp topics, Like NPH, Headache, TIA, stroke,multiple sclerosis, motor neuron disease. Don`t read the whole chapter. Try to read fast. don`t do a research work on diseases just understand the fundamental and concept. Don`t forget the kaplan, it tells you which topic is imp.

i'm relieved. i dont like using a lot of books , i basically stick to one, but lots of people on this forum use cmdt so i was confused.

Did you do the Kaplan lectures plus the IM book?
I find it very useful.
