Can someone describe in detail the 1st half of the urea cycle?

perhaps not in detail but a bit in short...
assuming that first half refers to the part occuring in mitochondria...
ammonium ion and bicarb in the presence of 2 ATPs combine to for carbamoyl PO4, catalyzed by carbamoyl PHO4 synthetase I. Then ornithine transcarbamoylase adds ornithine to carbamoyl PO4 to form citrulline that leave mitochondria t enter cytoplasm

Good -Didnt want to take us thru the entire cycle because of TIME!!

not bcoz of TIME, rather bcoz question was asking for 1st part only
ok here is the rest of it:
in the cytoplasm, Asp is added to citrulline yielding argininosuccinate catalyzed by argininosuccinate synthetase. during this reaction ATP is broken down into AMP & PPi..
Nxt, argininosuccinate lyase breaks down the argininosuccinate releasing fumarate and producing Arginine that is broken down by arginase to yield urea and ornithine (which goes to mitochondria to be used again)
