I plan to take it too... I just started reading First AID for IMGs, also I just got a copy of First AID for USMLE step 1... I also just ordered the Kaplan Homestudy kit. You can order that study kit from the kaplan website: http://www.kaptest.com/med_home.jhtml

Just took step 1 last month. For me, Kaplan's review books and q banks are just what you need. I started out with BRS and lippincott, but they're lenghty that u tend to miss out the details that must be given emphasis. Kaplan gives you the stuffs, the only stuffs you need to answer the questions on the exams. Thanks to my friend who lent me her review books! God bless!

I will be taking Step 1 on the first week of May here in Manila. Any suggestions for last minute cramming? I feel I am not fully prepared. Wish me luck guys.

If you're cramming... memorize First Aid 2004... then Kaplan Notes or Homestudy Kit (2 volumes), get hold of Goljan notes, BRS Behavioral Sciences. Then just back them up with other sources... Liipincott for Biochem and Pharma... etc... if you still have time. Try to answer as many practice tests as you can. Kaplan Qbank is recommended daw. Good Luck to you.
