What is the difference between sick sinus syndrome and heart block (1st degree, 2nd degree)?

There is a problem generating the electic stimuli in the sick sinus syndrome (SSS) whereas in heart blocks the conduction is affected. On a 12 leads ECG it is probably impossible to differentiate between SSS and intraatrial conduction defects.
