Whats the difference between a histone and a nucleosome?

the amount of DNA wrapped about it. Histone is a +charged protein. Nucleosome is a combination of DNA spunned about the proteins. Its unit of "reduction".. just like solenoid. :-)

Histone are also positively charged with the lysine and argine and bind to DNA rich in A-T nucleotide pairs. The nucleosome is the fundamental unit of chromatin packing. Nucleosome= 2 full turns of DNA winding around a histone octamer
